Bajwa blames Badals for internecine war among the Sikhs

Blaming the Badals, father-son duo for “internecine war” among Sikhs, Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa on Thursday said that it would be advisable under the given situation to wait for the outcome of the judicial intervention.

Squarely holding Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his deputy son Sukhbir Badal, who is also SAD president, responsible for triggering internecine war among Sikhs over the control of management of gurdwaras in Haryana, Bajwa said that it had sullied the community’s image all over the world.

“It is Badal who has been directly interfering in religio-political affairs of the community to further his own vested interests and in the process, he has damaged every Sikh institution. Badal is the same person who had defied Akal Takht edict on December 31 asking Akali leaders to jointly celebrate tercentenary of Khalsa. It is ridiculous that the same leader is referring to the supremacy of the Akal Takht,” pointed Bajwa.
