Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa on Tuesday asserted that the father-son duo — Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal — would have to pay a heavy price for their misadventures in Panchayati Raj elections, gross misuse of Government machinery and wide spread lawlessness in the State.
Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief, addressing election meeting organised by Congress MlA Brahm Mohindra in village Alowal, blamed Badal for total breakdown of law and order in Punjab.
Partap singh Bajwa also added that the cold-blooded murder of the Youth Congress leader and Congress candidate Sukhraj Singh, attack on Congress MlA Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi in Ferozepur were not isolated incidents. “The scores of other incidents of violence by Akalis are reported from all over the state. It is a calculated conspiracy to spread panic and Punjab Police is hobnobbing with the ruling party,” he added.
