Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal will lay the foundation stone of Guru Ravidass Memorial at Khuralgarh in district Hoshiarpur on April 3, Sohan Singh Thandal, Tourism & Cultural Affairs Minister said on Thursday. Presiding over the meeting of the Executive Committee of Guru Ravidass Memorial Foundation, Thandal said a memorable function would be held on this occasion and thousands of people from across the length and breadth of the state will participate in the event. The main highlight of the event would be the participation of luminaries of the Sant Samaj, he added.
The minister informed that as per the decision of the Executive Committee, the construction of the boundary wall of the memorial has been commenced and soon the tender would be floated for the construction of the memorial. He informed that Guru Ravidass Memorial is being set up at Khuralgarh in approximately 18 acres of land at an estimated cost of `110 Crores.
