Badal terms Capt's announcement on farm debt waiver as a 'bundle of lies'

Slamming Punjab Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh for misleading the people on debt waiver issue, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Friday said that the announcement by lok Sabha MP was nothing more than a ‘bundle of lies’.

Badal, addressing the gathering during Sangat Darshan program in Amargarh assembly segment, said that the state Congress leadership was lying on the debt waiver issue as it was not in the preview of the state government.

He said the entire state was aware about the anti-farmer stance of lok Sabha MP adding that that during his tenure as Chief Minister, “Captain had imposed power tariff on the farmers which was waived off during SAD-BJP alliance Government”.

likewise, Badal said the former Chief Minister was heading the same party which was solely responsible for the plight of farmers of the State.

Describing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leadership as rumour mongers, Badal said that they were good

for nothing as they were not aware of even basic topography of the State.

“It is a well-known fact that AAP Government in Delhi has ditched the people by not fulfilling even a single promise made to them…The acts like pasting of their election symbol on their party manifesto along with picture of Darbar Sahib, equating manifesto with sacred texts and others have proved that these people have scant respect for our

religious feelings…Such acts are inhuman and against the mankind,” he said.

Coming down heavily on fourth front led by former parliamentarian Navjot Singh Sidhu, Badal said that it was a bunch of fugitives and opportunists who have joined their hands to satiate their lust for power.

He said these leaders were bereft of any ideological commitment and were not sincere to the state and its people. He reiterated that those people who were not loyal to their parties could never be sincere with the state.

Badal, later interacting with the media persons, said that the SAD-BJP alliance government believed in actions whereas both the Congress and AAP were trying to mislead the people through hollow and false slogans.

He said the work of State Government was in front of everybody whereas the Congress and the AAP were just selling dreams.
