Badal raps Delhi civic body for stopping riots memorial

On Delhi municipal corporation’s notice to the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee for its proposal to construct a memorial for 1984 anti-Sikh riots victims, Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal termed it as “unfortunate”.

“There is no harm in constructing the memorial to pay homage to those innocent people who were killed in the riots,” said Badal.

Squarely blaming the Congress for the brutal murder of the innocent Sikhs, Badal said the people would never forgive the party for this grave sin.

Also commenting on the recent decision of the Union Human Resource Minister MM Pallam Raju to send a central team for probing into irregularities alleged by the Congress in Education Department, the Chief Minister termed it as a ‘politically motivated decision’.
