Badal loses right to rule: Manpreet

People’s Party of Punjab president Manpreet Badal on Sunday stated that Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has lost the right to rule.

He alleged that Akali henchmen indulged in widespread violence and booth capturing in Badal’s constituency lambi, where six vehicles were set on fire.

“Burning vehicles in Chief Minister’s constituency is a telling indicator of sorry state of affairs. The PA to Deputy Chief Minister Avtar Singh Vandwala, was leading the booth-capturing brigade of the Akali Dal in Mann village,” Manpreet said. He claimed that gunshots were fired at Ballianwala in Gidderbaha.

The former finance minister alleged that violence was widespread and was difficult to recount the reign of terror unleashed by the Akali Dal goons to browbeat the opposition. He alleged that PPP supporters were unable to vote as they were hauled up in police stations.
