To give befitting tribute to the founder of Namdhari movement, Satguru Ram Singh, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday approved to institute an award in his name.
Badal asked the State Government to work out the modalities for the said award in consultation with the representatives of the Kuka Martyrs’ Memorial Trust.
He also entrusted the task of publishing calendar on Satguru Ram Singh and brochure highlighting significance of Kuka Movement in the national freedom struggle, to the state Information and Public Relations department in order to perpetuate rich legacy and philosophy of Namdhari sect amongst the future generations.
