Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Saturday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of ludhiana acid attack victim, who died in a Mumbai hospital on Friday.
The Chief Minister said that it was very unfortunate that the hapless girl became another victim of a heinous crime against humanity.
He said that the State Government would initiate every step to ensure that exemplary punishment was awarded to the accused involved in such dastardly act.
Badal said that such offenders does not deserve leniency and they would be dealt with as per the law of land by meting out the severest of the severe punishment to them so that it could act as a deterrent for others too.
