Self-styled Godman Asaram Bapu’s son Narayan Sai has declared that he would soon launch a new political party named ‘Ojaswi’.
“Our sadhaks (followers) have been demanding the formation of a political party since long, and we will launch the party soon”, said Narayan Sai. Narayan Sai was in Chandigarh for two days i.e September 28 and 29.
Sai’s announcement about launching a new political outfit has come at a time, when his father Asaram is behind bars in a case of sexual assault registered by a teenage girl.
Sai said that there was conspiracy against his father and we are very well aware of how many political parties have supported this conspiracy. After the allegations of sexual assault, Asaram had alleged that he had been dragged into the issue after the directions of Congress party leaders.
“After this unfortunate incident, our sadhaks (followers) ask us time and again to whom they should vote in the upcoming lok Sabha elections 2014,” Sai added. Asaram’s son rejected charges that the District and Sessions Judge in Jodhpur was given threats by his followers. “This is totally baseless. Anybody who will prove these charges will be given `5 lakh reward”, said he. On Saturday, hundreds of followers of Asaram had protested at Sector 25 rally ground here against his arrest.
