Arun Jaitley, the leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha will lead BJP’s Jail Bharo Andolan on June 2 in the city.
The party is conducting countrywide ‘Jail Bharo Andolan’ from May 27 to June 2 to protest the UPA Government’s indifferent
attitude and to strengthen the demand for the PM’s resignation.In the city, Jaitley will lead the protest which would start at Sector 7,8,18,19 roundabout on June 2. The senior leader along with the local leaders and hundreds of party workers will give court arrest to protest against UPA. Sanjay Tandon, Chandigarh BJP president said, “Arun Jaitley, the leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha will lead the protest along with senior leader Aarti Mehra on June 2.”
He said, “The protest would be against the UPA Government which has indulged in a series of scams including 2G spectrum scam, Commonwealth Games 2010 scam, Coal Block Allocation Scam, Cash for Vote scam, VVIP helicopter Scandal, Pulses Import Scam, Tatra Truck deal scam, loan Waiver Scandal, Rail scam among others during their tenure.”
“Besides, we are continuously conducting JanJagran Abhiyan in the city to apprize the city residents about the corrupt practices of the local Member Parliament Pawan Kumar Bansal and UPA Government,” he added.
