The Haryana Government has invited applications for allotment of religious sites to any Society, Trust or Institution in its urban estates of Gurgaon zone.
The State Government had introduced a policy for allotment of Government land for social, religious, charitable trusts or institutions for construction of places of worship, Dharamshala, Janjghar or Community Centre.
As per the policy, the applicant should be a registered legal entity for example, a Society registered under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies Act 2012; a Trust registered under the Indian Trust Act or a Not-for-Profit company registered as such under the Indian Companies Act. The Government would allot the sites only where the access to such community sites is from a 15 meters wide road so as to ensure that the access to the site is congestion-free.
A total of seven sites are available under Estate Officer-I and II, Gurgaon. These included one site each in Sector 9, Sector 5 Part-VI, Sector 43, 56, and 50, and two sites in Sector 52. Similarly, a total of four sites are available under Estate Officer, HUDA, Rewari.
These included one site each in Sector 1 NMT Rewari, Sector 4, Sector 19 and Part-1 Narnaul, said a spokesman of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA). He said that the prescribed application form containing detailed terms and conditions could be obtained from the Estate Officer-I and II, HUDA, Gurgaon and Rewari. The application form could also be downloaded from HUDA’s website www.huda.gov.in and submit before July 22.
The spokesman said that the allotment would be made on lease-hold basis for 99 years. The interested and eligible Society, Trust or Institution could apply for its allotment.
10 per cent of the total tentative cost of the site would have to be deposited as earnest money alongwith the prescribed application form in the shape of Bank Draft. The applications received would be scrutinized by a committee constituted for the purpose under the chairmanship of the Divisional Commissioner., he added.
Notably, the State Government had recently decided to conduct a detailed survey of all those social, charitable and religious institutions in the state, which have been allotted land on concessional rates in the state.
