Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Monday directed the concerned officers of the Department to soon prepare a cadre of specialist doctors so that recruitment of doctors could be made on its basis. The Health Minister, who was presiding over a review meeting of the Department here, also directed to specify the number of posts of specialist doctors.
Besides, keeping in view the demand of the doctors, he said that Medical Officers would be promoted to the post of Assistant Senior Medical Officer after a fixed period of time.
Notably, the State Government had last week decided to raise the retirement age of practicing doctors from 58 to 65 years. It was decided that those doctors who were working on administrative posts, would retire at the age of 58 years, but would be able to continue to serve upto 65
years only if they opt to practice in any health institution of their choice.
Vij said that the Department would also implement a scheme to prepare health cards of all people in the state under which about 36 necessary tests would be conducted after a fixed interval. It was also being considered to link these health cards with Aadhaar Cards so that people may not face any problem in assessing their records anytime at any place, he said.
The Minister also sought a report regarding delay being caused in computerisation of Civil hospital at Ambala.
