With the District Administration, Ambala,  implementing e-transfers of computer staff to eliminate corruption and ensure a fare and transparent placement of staff, it has become the first district of the State to implement such e-transfer policy under District Information Technology Society (DITS).

Deputy Commissioner, Ambala Sharandeep Kaur Brar on Friday said this policy of e-transfer is the first such exercise which is in complete sync with the moto of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance”.

Brar said that the DITS Ambala has more than 70 computer operators on its roll and have been deputed for various kinds of duties like registration of lands certificate, issuing driving licences, character certificates, caste certificates and registration of vehicles. She said that it is the endeavour of the state government that all staff that deals with public should be rotated once in every six months to achieve fairness on the public dealing seats.

The Deputy Commissioner said that under this system, every employee would be asked to submit five posting choices such as DC Office, SDM office, Tehsil Office. These choices would be fed to the software designed for this purpose, and allocations of seats would be done through randomization of such staff.

It would be presumed that all staff is competent to do all work on any software approved by the government. She said that the e-transfer orders would have to be complied within a week of generation of the transfer orders, failing which the salary of the defaulting staff would be stopped and punitive action could also be taken.

Brar said that no employee would be allowed for amendment in his transfer orders as consent has been already taken for their posting choice. The e-transfers would be a rule and manual transfers, if any, would be an exception, she added.
