Amarinder blames Jaitley for ED notice to his son

Training his guns at Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday squarely blamed him for ED notice sent to his son Raninder Singh.

Capt. Amarinder minced no words to say that Jaitley was acting vindictive and trying to avenge his defeat in the parliamentary polls by using the Enforcement Directorate.

The notice was a knee jerk reaction to the campaign launched by the Congress against the BJP and he never hoped that the Finance Minister would stoop so low, added Captain Amarinder Singh.

While addressing a press conference here, he said that he is not bothered of such notices, as the matter had been hanging fire since 2005, and now once again before the assembly elections in the state, the ruling party is trying to score politically, but it will bring nothing for them.

He also shared the blueprint of Congress campaign programmes between June 24 to September 8 and said that the state has been divided in six zones and state vice presidents would be leading the campaign in these six zones.

Captain reiterated that Congress will conduct three major agitations against the government on three different issues and at three different venues. The first demonstration would be in Dina Nagar on June 8, the second at Jalandhar and the most important agitation would be orgainsed in Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s village lambi on June 18.Responding to a query on his stand on Congress leader Jagdish Tytler, Capt. Amarinder said that he was nothing to do with Tytler in person, and if he was guilty, he should be hanged.

He added that he had himself interacted with the riot vicims, while he was in Delhi between June 1 to June 4, 1984 but no one named Tytler.
