To bring about transparency in the purchase process of various departments of Haryana, all purchases would be made through e-tendering and e-procurement system after January 31, 2015.
Talking to reporters after presiding over a meeting of High Power Purchase Committee, Haryana Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu said necessary directions in this regard have been issued to all departments.
He said e-tendering and e-procurement system would develop a sense of competition among the suppliers and as a result of this; the departments would be able to make purchases on lower rates. For this, terms and conditions could also be amended, he added.
In reply to a question, the Finance Minister said that the State Government would soon bring out a white paper on the State’s financial position so that the people could also come to know about the same.
On being asked about the investigation in the incident where few pages have gone missing from the official file concerning the Robert Vadra land deal, Capt. Abhimanyu made it clear that necessary action would be taken in this regard and those found guilty would not be spared. He said that no one is above law and constitution.
To a query about shortage of Urea in the State, he said that had the previous Government issued necessary orders in this regard and made adequate arrangements for its storage, there would not have been any such problem.
