Anurag Aggarwal, a 1994 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre, on Monday assumed the charge of new Home Secretary of UT Chandigarh. He replaced Anil Kumar, a 1988 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre. The post of Home Secretary normally goes to a Haryana cadre IAS officer while Finance Secretary is from Punjab in the joint capital of the two States.
