Punjab Police ADGP (Railways) IPS Sahota on Monday visited the spot at Joda Phatak to carry out investigations in the Amritsar train mishap that left as many as 58 persons including women and children dead.
He said that a three-member Special Investigating Team, headed by AIG Daljit Singh, has been formed and he would personally supervise the probe.
Sahota said that the team would look into every aspect including the role of railway employees in the incident. The probe would be completed by three months, he added.
