The International Gita Mahotsav 2018 to be organised at Kurukshetra from December 7 to 23 would witness the performances of Lagaan movie fame actress, Gracy Singh and Sufi singer Satinder Sartaj.
Apart from this, internationally acclaimed singer Hemant Brijwasi would also perform during the Mahotsav, said an official spokesman.
He said that for International Gita Mahotsav this year, Mauritius would be partner country and Gujarat would be partner state.
Gita Mahotsav would also be organised at Mauritius in February 2019.
The spokesman said that about 200 famous painters from across the country would reach Kurukshetra to draw beautiful paintings on the walls of Kurukshetra on the theme of Mahabharata under paint the wall competition.
Indian and foreign artists would give performances in cultural programmes to be organised every day in the evening. Apart from this, artists from Mauritius, Indonesia, Iran, Turkmenistan and Russia would also give cultural performances, he said.
The spokesman further said that Ambassadors of more than 10 countries have been invited for International Gita Mahotsav 2018.
A ‘Kavi Sammelan’ would also be organised on this occasion for which internationally acclaimed poets namely Hari Om Panwar, Gajendra Solanki and others have been invited, he added.
