Addressing a rally in Manimajra in favour of Congress’ candidate on Wednesday, Bhattal said that the residents of the Chandigarh know that the city needs a seasoned representative in Parliament and not the politicians who had joined it on probation and yet were not certain that how they would be able to contribute their time for city or to handle the acting assignments.

AAP candidate Gul Panag visited the High Court Bar association on Wednesday. She went out to the lawyers sitting in the lawn, library, ladies’ bar room and urged them to support her in the polls. Addressing them, she emphasised the fact that AAP stood for accountability and transparency.

She said judicial accountability was as much necessary as much was the need of accountability in other fields. She opined that lawyers and judiciary formed that pillar which was holding up the democratic values and was instrumental in saving the common man from the clutches of injustice.
