Pankaj Chandgothia, an advocate and social activist, on Saturday filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), against Tanvi Garg, her gunman, her driver and UT Police, seeking their suspension for manipulating the law and conniving with each other to deny the freedom of a citizen and putting him in illegal detention for 21 hours, without there being any cognizable offense against him.
Vikrant and other had gathered at the Sector-17 Plaza, sporting black ribbons on their mouths and shoulders last week to protest against Tanvi and UT Police.
They also had written a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs and claimed a personal message was conveyed to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi regarding the matter.
