Abhay hits back at his nephew

On the day his elder brother Ajay Chautala declared to fight back against the expulsion of his sons from the party, Leader of opposition in Haryana Assembly and INLD’s senior leader Abhay Chautala on Monday hit back at his nephew Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala.

“Like several Chief Ministerial candidates in Congress, we also saw one such claimant for CM post in INLD,” said Abhay, in a veiled attack on Dushyant’s ambitious to become INLD’s CM face in assembly polls scheduled next year.

Abhay, while addressing INLD-BSP workers at Hisar also asked them to not raise slogans in his support as it could change his attitude as well. “Don’t raise slogans in my praise, otherwise I will also start thinking of having support of entire state,” he said attacking Dushyant but without mentioning his name. On resignations in the party after expulsion of Digvijay and Dushyant, Abhay said all those leaving the party were paid agents of Congress and were weakening the INLD. Thirty-year-old Dushyant Chautala is the youngest MP in the Lok Sabha, and a popular youth leader in the state.  Both Dushyant Chautala and Digvijay Singh were expelled on November 2 after being accused of indiscipline, hooliganism and spreading disaffection within the party against the party leadership during the birthday celebrations of Chaudhary Devi Lal in Gohana on October 7.

Earlier, both were suspended from the party on October 11 and the matter was referred to the party’s disciplinary committee which was asked to submit its report by October 25.

Both the brothers had denied accusations of indiscipline against them and termed it as a conspiracy against them, seeking evidence against them.
