Aam Aadmi Party’s ‘rebel’ MlAs Sukhpal Singh Khaira and Kanwar Sandhu on Monday demanded a probe into the alleged involvement of the Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda head in sacrilege incidents across Punjab.

Besides, they have also asked the Congress led Punjab Government to take action against those involved in Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura firing incidents in 2015.

At the same time, Khaira announced that “the party” would take out a march from Bargari till Faridkot District Administration Office complex on August 20 “to seek a prompt action in sacrilege incidents”.

The former leader of Opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Khaira also demanded a “special” assembly session to discuss Bargari incident report prepared by the Commission of Inquiry headed by Justice (retired) Ranjit Singh.

Khaira also released a report by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe sacrilege incidents, headed by ludhiana range DIG Ranbir Singh Khatra, in the media pointing that the “sacrilege incidents which took place in Faridkot district in 2015 were the result of a conspiracy hatched by some Dera Sacha Sauda followers”.

The reports, submitted with Justice Ranjit Singh Commission, stated that some Dera Sacha Sauda followers had allegedly planned to “eliminate” Sikh preacher Baljit Singh Daduwal.
