The Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday demanded that Punjab Agriculture Minister Tota Singh be sacked, in case he refuses to submit his resignation on moral ground by owning up the responsibility for the pesticide scam.
AAP’s State convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur demanded that action must be taken against “all those involved” in the scam saying that it was inconceivable that Tota Singh was ignorant of this scam in his own department.
He ridiculed Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal for relying on bureaucracy on such a sensitive issue rather than his own Cabinet colleague that was reflective of the fact that Tota Singh had lost his confidence.
Tota Singh was equally culpable and action should also be taken against him, he demanded.
