AAP to launch Vaada Khilaf-Pardafash campaign on Sept 20

Published on:

To corner the Congress-led Punjab Government on the debt waiver issue, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to launch a Statewide campaign Vaada Khilaf-Pardafash (exposure of betrayal) in the State on September 20.

Under the campaign, the party will organise five conferences — one each in five zones.

The decision as taken a day before at the State level meeting of party’s Kisan Sangarsh Samiti and other senior party leaders.

Starting from Kot Kapura on September 20, the conferences will be organised under this campaign and these conferences will be addressed by all the senior AAP leaders of the State.

The campaign aimed pressurising the Capt Amarinder Singh Government to fulfil its promise of complete farm debt waiver.

AAP’s State president Bhagwant Mann said that with the backtracking of Capt Amarinder Government from the promise of complete waiver of agriculture debts, the hopes of farmers were completely shattered and out of frustration, more farmers started committing suicides.
