Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday claimed that Punjab’s senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Singh Dullo will soon gave up the “hand” to hold the “broom” in the State.
The claims were made by the party’s state unit president and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann while talking with the media after inaugurating party’s election office in Moga.
Also Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee’s (PPCC) former president, Dullo has already been asked by the party to resign not only from the party but also from the Rajya Sabha after his wife and son joined the AAP.
Dullo’s wife Harbans Kaur and son Bandeep Singh Dullo have joined AAP only recently, and in fact, it has fielded Bandeep as its candidate from Fatehgarh Sahib Lok Sabha constituency.
Bandeep, who was the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee secretary, joined AAP in New Delhi on Sunday, replacing his mother and former MLA as its candidate.
Earlier, the party had given ticket to Baljinder Singh but replaced him with Harbans Kaur after she joined AAP on April 16. It is learnt that the decision to field Bandeep was taken after the party found his mother ineffective in the poll campaign.
