Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) newly-appointed co-in-charge for Punjab unit Raghav Chadha will be on a two-day state tour from January 1.

“On January 1, AAP Punjab co-in-charge Raghav Chadha, after reaching ‘Guru ki Nagri’ Amritsar, will pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Durgiana Temple and pray for the prosperity of Punjab,” said party's state general secretary Harchand Singh Barsat, state secretary Gagandeep Singh Chadha and Majha joint secretaries Ashok Talwar and Baljit Khaira, in a joint statement.

The leaders said that during the first day visit, Chadha will hold a meeting with party leaders, state leaders and MLAs from Majha region and discussions would be held to strengthen the party. They said that a strategy would be chalked out to target the present “anti-Punjab” Congress Government on the issue of not fulfilling the electoral promises made with the people and about the municipal elections to be held in February.

AAP leaders said that at present, the people of Punjab were delighted to work with AAP for Punjab’s prosperity. “By appointing a young and educated leader like Raghav Chadha as Punjab's co-in-charge, all classes including youth of the state will join the party,” they added.

After deliberating on the anti-people decisions being taken by the current Congress government, the next strategy would be formulated, they added.
