Aam Aadmi Party leader and Supreme Court advocate HS Phoolka and party’s State convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur on Wednesday thanked the High Court bench, headed by Chief Justice, for staying the transfer of ED officer Niranjan Singh.“The judiciary has saved the investigation by giving a stay on the transfer which was engineered to botch up the case and save Majithia and other politicians. The courts have given a hope to the people of Punjab that this honest and upright officer has ignited by his fearless investigation,” said Phoolka.
Chhotepur, expressing his gratitude to the Court, said: “The High Court, by staying the transfer of Niranjan Singh, has shown that it will not allow politicians to twist the laws according to their whims.” Both leaders expressed the hope that now, finally the law will be upheld and guilty, no matter how powerful, will not be allowed to make a mockery of it and finally, this officer will be allowed to do his job without interference.
