Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday promised to end the loot culture in Punjab, once the party formed the government in the state; and would carry out development for the people.
“The policy of the previous SAD-BJP and Congress governments has been, ‘Loot the public and businessmen to spend money on themselves’,” said AAP’s senior leader and Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendar Jain, who was addressing the small and medium scale businessmen in Nakodar. Jain said that corruption and bribery would be eradicated immediately after the AAP Government’s formation in Punjab and development works would be done for the common people.
“There is not even a single rupee of corruption in any office of the Delhi Government for any work. News of any employee or officer taking a bribe is treated with an immediate sacking. In Punjab also, we will establish a transparent and honest government like in Delhi,” he said.
Taking a dig at Akali and Congress, he said that their leaders are afraid of Kejriwal, and were always worried that if the AAP’s government is formed in Punjab, their loot business will stop and all their black files will be opened. “Due to the previous corrupt governments, the revenue of Punjab suffered a lot and the people had to face the consequences,” he added. Assuring the traders, Jain said that the AAP Government would provide them complete security and facilities.
“Bureaucracy and commissions will be completely abolished,” he said. The Delhi Minister said that may be Rs 1000 is not a big amount, but it will definitely help women in many ways, and they’ll be able to afford a number of things every month of their own. He added that AAP government in Punjab will neither impose any new tax nor will it increase the existing taxes.
