AAP flays setting up of Hry Administrative Tribunal

Published on:

Punjab unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday slammed the BJP-led Haryana Government for its proposal to set up Administrative Tribunal for adjudication of the service matters of the State Government employees by replacing Punjab and Haryana High Court, which heard their service-related matters earlier.

The party has decided to support the cause by expressing its solidarity with the protesting lawyers in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh and Bar Councils against the move.

“The move is detrimental, not only to the lawyers’ fraternity but is also against the interests of people at large.

The Tribunal System is pro-government and pro-politicians, as this is under the control of the dispensation,” said AAP’s senior leader and the Leader of Opposition in Vidhan Sabha Harpal Singh Cheema.

Making AAP’s stand clear, Cheema said that the party flayed the Haryana Government’s to set up Administrative Tribunal and demanded that the Government should immediately review its decision and reverse “the tall order”.
