Reacting on the confusion among the people living in border areas of Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday said that Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal must come clear on the chaos and confusion he has caused by asking people of border area to evacuate.
Talking to reporters here, State convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich (Ghuggi) said the chief minister must clear this, especially after the tweet of Director General (DG) of Border Security Force (BSF), who stated that India never gave orders for evacuation of villages along with Indo-Pak border. DG of BSF, KK Sharma’s tweet says “India never gave orders for evacuation of villages near International border post”. Even Sharma said “there is tension at international border but no exchange of fire has taken place yet”.
Waraich said villagers and residents of border areas should be made clear for how long they need to vacate their houses and if war is imminent how long they will have to stay away from their housesIJ
