AAP asks SAD-BJP, Cong to refrain from defaming party by fake propaganda

Taking serious note of the current anti-Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) propaganda by spreading ‘fake news’ on the social media, AAP on Sunday appealed to the mainstream media to be cautioned of such tactics.

“As the ‘grand alliance’ of SAD-BJP-Congress knows it very well that people of Punjab have made up their minds to show them door in the forthcoming assembly polls, they resorted to adopt cheap tactics of engineering false anti-AAP propaganda on the social media by spreading hollow and fake news,” said AAP spokesperson Sukhpal Khaira.

Condemning such propaganda which indicates another height of ‘low politics’ by the “grand alliance”, Khaira claimed that such an act shows how much frustrated these parties are, as they resorted to commit same mistakes, which they did in Delhi, which resulted in humiliating defeat of both the BJP and Congress.

“People are fed up with the traditional politics of negativity and they don’t want to be made fool again and again,” said Khaira while warning these parties to resist from such activities of false propaganda.

Khaira said: “In an attempt to create confusion among public and AAP workers, ‘puppets’ of these parties are busy in designing and spreading the ‘fake news’ on the social media.”

Even some ‘unclaimed’ posters were pasted on the walls in some districts, which aimed to create confusion on the policies of secularism of AAP and disturb the hard earned peace and communal harmony of the state, Khaira alleged.

Recent example of such propaganda is that on the social media news regarding the alleged friction between him and State Convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur was spread, which was not having even an iota of truth, Khaira said.
