A day after the Congress raised questions on the lapses of Punjab Government leading the to terror attack in Pathankot, the Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday trained its guns on the State Government besides the Centre accusing both of systemic failures.
Addressing a Press conference in Chandigarh, AAP Punjab in-charge Sanjay Singh said that the Pathankot terror attack has raised strong apprehensions about the prevalence of narco-political-terror nexus in the State.
He alleged that the nexus of Akali leaders, drug peddlers and militants resulted in militant attack in Pathankot. He said that the role of SP of Punjab police is doubtful in the case and it is assumed that he might have helped militants to reach the attack spot.
Sanjay Singh said that the SP is reported to have met a political leader night before the attack. Singh said that it is very much doubtful why the terrorists spared the SP and killed just the taxi driver. Raising concerns on the foreign policy of centre Government Sanjay Singh said that the security of the nation is a serious issue and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi should not tackle the issue in a childish way. AAP Punjab Convener Suchha Singh Chottepur and AAP legal cell head Himmat Singh Shergil were also present with Sanjay Singh.
