AAP accuses Capt Govt for financial emergency

Accusing Capt Amarinder Singh-led Congress Government for the financial mess in Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party on Friday said that it has pushed the State into emergency like situation.

“Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, during election speeches, promised to revive the state economy by finding new avenues. But even after 10 months of Government formation in state, he has not even initiated the process. Due to the negligence of Capt Amarinder, state economy has gone from bad to worst and common people are bearing the burnt,” said AAP state co-president and Sunam MlA Aman Arora.

Arora said that due to pathetic condition of state economy, the government school children are not provided books and uniforms and they are forced to go to schools without woolen clothes.

Capt Amarinder, before elections, promised to pay old aged people, widows and physically challenged people Rs  2,500 per month as pension but now  the Government have not paid the money for six months. The employees of Government departments are waiting for their salaries for many months and the employee unions are planning to protest against the government, he said.

AAP leader said that shockingly, the government in its recent letter has asked the Government department heads to stall the new projects related to next financial year. The Government has also not paid the wages of suvidha centre employees and the centres are about to shut, he said.

Arora said that previous Akali-BJP government in state had looted Punjab to the extent that people will never forgive them but Capt Amarinder has made mockery of the pitiable condition of the people by luring them with false promises.

He said that Capt Amarindert can’t run away from his responsibilities by just criticizing the previous government but has to find out solution for the present problem. “Present Congress government has turned to be the worst and dishonest governments of all times as it has played with the emotions of farmers, farm labors and other sections of the society,” he said.
