Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Kanwar Pal on Wednesday gave a cheque of Rs23.90 lakh to Chief Minister, Manohar lal on behalf of 79 MlAs who donated their one month salary to the Chief Minister Relief Fund as financial aid for flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chief Minister said severe damage was caused in Jammu and Kashmir due to floods during last year. For this, all MlAs and Ministers had agreed to pay their one month salary.
Kanwar Pal said on the demand of MlAs total time set for all MlAs of ruling or opposition parties to raise their issues in the house so as to provide more time to MlAs to speak. This has happened for this first time in history of Vidhan Sabha, he added.
