The arrival of wheat in the mandis of Haryana, till date, has touched an all time high of 66.43 lakh Metric Tonnes. In the corresponding period last year, 63.18 lakh MT of wheat had arrived in the mandis of the State.
A spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said that the procurement process was running smoothly in the mandis of the State.
Out of the total arrival, 66.41 lakh MT have been procured by the government procurement agencies at Minimum Support Price.
District Sirsa was leading in wheat arrival where more than 10.21 lakh MT had so far arrived in the mandis. District Karnal has recorded arrival of more than 7 lakh MT, district Jind more than 6.19 lakh MT.
