Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Surjit Kumar Jayani on Wednesday handed over appointment letters to 66 Ayurvedic Medical Officers. These AMOs have been selected by the Punjab Public Service Commission.
Addressing the newly appointed doctors, Jayani said that now with the help of the newly recruited AMOs, all the existing Ayurvedic dispensaries in the state would be revamped.
The minister said that the Ayurvedic system of medicines was the oldest and the most trusted way of treating patients.
People have also started inclining towards this method over the years.
