Himachal on Tuesday reported 60 fatalities and 1999 fresh COVID-19 cases. With this, the death toll has reached 2873 and the cumulative case tally stood at 182982 in the state, according to the health bulletin.
A day before, the state had reported 61 deaths and 1949 infections. On Tuesday, 3067 recoveries were reported taking the total recoveries to 157031 in the hill state. In the last 24 hours, a maximum of 19 deaths were reported in Kangra.
A maximum of 576 new cases were reported in Kangra, which remains the worst affected district in the state.295 cases were reported in Mandi, 231 in Solan, 159 in Sirmaur, 134 in Hamirpur among other cases.
Out of 23053 active cases in the state, Kangra has the highest 6832 active cases followed by 2606 such cases in Shimla district. 15007 samples were tested in the last 24 hours in the state. Over 18.5 lakh tests have been conducted till now, the bulletin said.
