In Haryana, about 50-km road from Chidav Mor in Karnal to Kaithal would be four-laned at a cost of about Rs 221 crore.
An official spokesman said that work to construct and repair roads in the entire State was being carried out at a rapid pace.
Work to make about 21-km road from Karnal to Indri four-laned at a cost of about Rs 39 crore would soon begin. Besides, road from Agrasen Chowk to Baldi Chowk would be made six-laned and cycle track would be constructed on both sides.
Construction of bus stand near Balri Bypass on GT Karnal Road is progressing at a rapid pace, and the first phase of its construction would be completed by September 13.
This project would be completed at a cost of about Rs 300 crore, he added.
