A total of 119 Covid-19 cases were reported in Punjab on Sunday, while Chandigarh and Haryana reported 71 and 329 fresh cases, respectively. No casualties were reported from Punjab on Sunday.
According to the Punjab medical bulletin, 18 COVID cases were reported in Patiala while 16 in Ludhiana, 14 in Jalandhar, 13 in SAS Nagar, 10 in Bathinda, six each in Ferozepur and Kapurthala.
In Haryana, active cases now stand at 2,452, while deaths recorded till date is 10,624. As many as 177 Covid cases were reported in Gurugram, 41 in Panchkula, 33 in Faridabad, 11 in Hisar and10 in Sonepat. 406 patients recovered from the virus on Sunday.
The number of Covid cases reported in the State is 1017209 while 1004110 patients recovered from the disease. The recovery rate in the State is 98.71 per cent.
In Chandigarh, 1,116 samples were collected on Sunday and 71 Covid cases reported in the joint state capital of Haryana and Punjab. The number of active cases in the city is 486, according to medical bulletin.
