Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Shrikant Walgad on Tuesday said about 30 lakh SMSs, including information regarding booths, date and time of polling and voters would be sent to the people of the State in the run-up to the polls on April 10.
Walgad said that voter slips carrying the name of the voters, booth number, serial number and date and time of polling have been prepared. These voter slips are being distributed. He said that 21 buses named ‘Democracy’ are operational in the State to create awareness about the significance of polling amongst the people. The CEO said that 49,000 police personnel and 60 companies of Central Security Forces would be deployed in
the State. He said 34,000 polling personnel and 45 companies of Central Security Forces would be deployed at polling booths.
