Referring to availability of power, Capt Yadav said that total installed power generation has increased to 10277 megawatt (from all sources). The generation capacity within the state has increased by three fold from 1587 MW to 5300 MW during the period of present government. A 2800 MW nuclear power plant in Fatehabad, a 1500 MW gas based thermal plant in Faridabad and a 600 MW thermal unit in Yamunanagar and a 600 MW thermal unit in Panipat are planned to be constructed.
There is sufficient power available in the state at present and supply is given for more time than the schedule.
He said that the electricity consumers should use the modes based on modern technology like e-mail, SMS, computerized consumer grievance redressal system and call centre to lodge their all types of complaints. All these modes are connected to the CGRS, under which the employees are bound to redress complaints within fixed time as per standards laid by the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission.
