A 25 year-old man, who was to get married on May 9, committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan at his residence in Hallomajra, on Wednesday. The incident came to light when brother of the deceased, Shiv Pal, noticed his body hanging from the ceiling fan on Wednesday morning.
The deceased, Arvind Kumar, is a native of Uttar Pradesh. He was living in a company accommodation along with his brother. He worked as a labourer at a bakery in Hallomajra, said Kirpal Singh, SHO The brother of the deceased told the police officials, that after finishing his dinner, Arvind asked for some electric wire, with which he wanted to fix the fan in his room and later in the morning he was found hanging, using the same wire.
A police team reached at the spot and sent the body for a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, after conducting thorough search of the spot, no suicide note was found from said the SHO.Sources in the police said that Arvind was depressed due to some family problems. However police is also suspecting a love affair which could be a possible reason behind the suicide as the family of the deceased had fixed his wedding for May 9.
