To facilitate complete health care services to the cattle at block levels, the Animal Husbandry Department of Punjab has initiated the 24 hours on-call service for providing immediate relief to the ailing animals. Animal Husbandry Minister Gulzar Singh Ranike on Tuesday said that animal husbandry department has provided all services regarding animal health care at the door step of the beneficiaries. He has also asked the officers of the department to ensure imparting of the key information regarding the newly launched 24 hour on-call services to the animal rearer. The Minister also said that the cattle farmers would also be provided complete information regarding the diseases, treatment and medicines to be given to the animals. Ranike said that with the 24-hour on-call service initiative of the Government, the harassment of the animal farmers travelling long distance merely to get minor suggestions and treatments of animals could be saved.
