Capital city Bhubaneswar on Wednesday registered 221 new Covid-19 cases, with which the total tally increased to 1,08,532.Of the new cases, 151 were local contacts and 70 from quarantine.
The local contacts included 18 cases in Patia, 16 in Nayapalli, six in Pokhariput and five in Old Town.On Tuesday, 226 infections had been detected in the city.
The active cases in the city stood at 3,117.Two more patients succumbed to the disease in the city, pushing the total death toll to 1,007.However, 147 patients recovered from the disease, increasing the total recoveries to 1,04, 387.
