A 22-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three teenaged youth at Devi lal Park on the Delhi road in the hometown of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday.
The police have started their investigation after registering a case of gang-rape against the accused on the complaint of the victim.
Ved Singh, spokesman of the Rohtak Police, informed that the girl hails from Bahu Akbarpur village located on the Rohtak-Hisar road here and had come to Rohtak in connection with her studies this morning. They took her to Devi lal Park on some pretext and later raped her, he added.
“The youth belonging to Dhardu village in Bhiwani district were booked by the Urban Estate Police under section 376 of the IPC. One of them knew the victim,” said the spokesman, adding that the accused would be nabbed soon.
