Punjab Government has transferred 22 senior police officers, including Police Commissioners of ludhiana, Jalandhar and police chiefs of eight districts.
Besides the commissioners and the Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), the list of transfer orders issued on late Friday night, also include the names of the inspector generals of police (IGPs), deputy inspector generals (DIGs), and deputy commissioners of police (DCPs). Commissioner of Police Jalandhar Ram Singh has been posted as IGP Traffic at Chandigarh, and replaced by Ishwar Singh, ludhiana Police Commissioner Paramjit Singh Gill has been transferred to IGP, Zonal-I, at Patiala, and replaced by Bathinda IGP Nirmal Singh Dhillon.
Paramraj Singh Umaranangal has been posted as Bathinda IGP, Balbir Kumar Bawa as IGP, Zonal-II at Jalandhar, Tejinder Pal Singh as IGP IVC at Chandigarh, Surinder Singh as IGP (EOW) Crime at Chandigarh, Rakesh Chandra as IGP (law and Order) at Chandigarh, Jaskaran Singh as DIG (Crime) at Chandigarh and Yurinder Singh has been posted as DIG (Ferozepur Range) at Ferozepur.
Besides, Bathinda SSP Ravcharan Singh Brar has been posted as Ropar SSP replacing Indermohan Singh who was shifted as SAS Nagar SSP. He replaced Gurpreet Singh Bhullar who was now posted as Bathinda SSP. Bathinda SSP Bhupinder Singh has been transferred as Mansa SSP in place of Narinder Bhargava who has been shifted as Hoshiarpur SSP replacing Jaspreet Singh Sidhu, who has been given the charge as Jalandhar SSP.
Jalandhar SSP Bikram Pal Singh Bhatty has been given the charge of Amritsar DCP replacing Rahul S who was posted as DCP Jalandhar in the place of Gupreet Singh Gill who has been transferred as SSP Amritsar (Rural) SSP. The AIG (FIU), Intelligence Varinderpal Singh will be the new Faridkot SSP. In addition, the state IGP Traffic Sharad Satya Chauhan’s name has been included in the panel sent for posting as IGP Investigation lokpal.
