AAP, CONG PROPHET OF DOOM: HARSIMRAT
Zira (Ferozepur): Union Minister and SAD MP from Bathinda Harsimrat Badal on Wednesday lashed out at AAP leaders for fomenting communal disharmony and violence in peaceful Punjab. She exhorted Punjabis to rise against their nefarious designs which aims to create chaos and anarchy in the State which has been put on rails of development for the last ten years and progressing fast. Harsimrat said it was not just coincidence that incidents of sacrilege started and increased with the emergence of AAP in post 2014 lok Sabha polls period and there was sudden thaw in such acts following arrest of AAP legislator and his intense interrogation.
“Circumstantial evidence makes it clear who were behind such provocative sacrilegious acts which shook the communal harmony in the state and led to emergence of hardliners who are now hand in globe with AAP,” opined Harsimrat, cautioning the people of Punjab to be vigilant against his Machiavellian conspiracies of the AAP leaders.

MANN, BITTU FIRST QUIT lOK SABHA, THEN ENTER JAlAlABAD: SAD
Chandigarh: SAD on Wednesday said that AAP’s Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann and Congress’ ludhiana MP Ravneet Bittu have reduced the electoral battle to a farce as they are sure of their defeat yet they have entered the fray merely to play to galleries. Certainly, they are not serious players and they know it better than all others, said SAD MP Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and party spokesperson Manjinder Singh Sirsa, in a joint statement.
They said that both self-styled stalwarts in Punjab politics have challenged Punjab’s deputy Chief Minister Sukbbir Badal in Jalalabad “purely to gain publicity and not to achieve any higher objective”. “Both are oblivious of the ground realities and people problems and their knowledge is limited to one fact that Sukhbir is contesting from this constituency and anybody challenging him would steal the limelight in Punjab polls,” they said, adding that if Mann and Bittu were so confident of their victory in the assembly polls, both should have first resigned as MP and then taken on to fight Sukhbir Badal.
People regretting for registering with congress schemes: sad
Chandigarh: SAD on Wednesday ridiculed the Congress party’s poll promises alleging that the voters are now regretting why they got themselves registered with its various schemes “which do not have remotest possibility of becoming a reality”.
“lakhs of people who over enthusiastically got their names registered for various proposals like farmer’s loan waiver, guaranteed one job per family or employment allowance till job is provided and smart phones to youth of Punjab are being subjected to numbers of calls daily exhorting them to vote for the Congress,” said the state Education Minister and SAD spokesman Daljeet Cheema.
He said numerous calls to the voters are so disturbing and disgusting that they are now regretting why they got themselves registered for the various Congress schemes.
“It is crystal clear that the objective of floating such ambitious albeit totally impractical mass schemes — conceived, designed and executed at a very high cost — was just to create a massive data bank to approach the voters close to elections,” he said, adding that armed with the data bank, Congress is approaching voters.
Cheema said, “Ironically, Punjab Congress has even taken a U-turn on providing jobs even before going to polls as its manifesto not talk of any guarantee for jobs but only promise to make efforts in this direction.”
“Providing smart phone was another promise to hoodwink the youth as aspirants were directed to apply on Twitter. Thus, applicants are only those who already had smart phones. On the loan waiver, the Congress vice-president already approached Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Obviously, Congress would pass on the buck and blame union Government for not waiving the farmers’ loan,” he said.
PK TAKES OVER PUNJAB CONGRESS: SAD
Chandigarh: SAD on Wednesday said that Punjab Congress have been taken over by political strategist Prashant Kishore aka PK “who has been sole decision-maker notwithstanding that the party has a formal president Capt Amarinder Singh, a Congress legislative leader Charanjit Singh Channi and scores of secretaries and 20 odd formal district party units.
SAD MP Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that the Congress, with a standing of over 130 years, has outsourced all its activities through Indian Political Action Committee (i-PAC).
“Even purely political functions like selection of party candidates, designing of electoral strategy and political campaigns, selection of campaign managers – which in most political parties are decided by political bosses – have been hijacked by PK who dictates terms top Congress leaders like Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh and his minions too,” he said.
“Ironically, only PK decides that Amarinder will contest from lambi and Ravneet Bittu from Jalalabad,” he said.
Dhindsa said the Punjab Congress has emerged as one man army with PK as its top executives and all others are bidding to his idiosyncrasies which ultimately the party has to pay for it.
