Clerk suspended
Chandigarh: While taking cognisance of a news item report, a clerk posted in Haryana Transport, Yamunanagar has been suspended with immediate effect for his alleged involvement in a case of eve teasing. A spokesman of the Transport Department said that Director, State Transport, Haryana, has also appointed General Manager, Haryana State Transport, Yamunanagar as investigating officer.
Sikkim Speaker’s courtesy call to Kanwar Pal
Chandigarh: Sikkim legislative Assembly Speaker Kedar Nath Rai made a courtesy call on Haryana legislative Assembly Speaker, Kanwar Pal here on Monday. Rai was on his way to Himachal Pradesh legislative Assembly in Shimla. Kanwar Pal hosted a lunch in honour of Rai, who also visited the Assembly halls of both Haryana and Punjab Vidhan Sabhas. Rai was all praise for the renovated Haryana MlAs Hostel.
Shobha Yatra to be held
Chandigarh: With a view to commemorate 200 years of Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple, Panchkula, a Shobha Yartra will be taken out on April 5. A spokesman of Shri Mata Mansa Devi Pujasthal Board said that the Shobha Yatra would begin from Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple and pass through main market and Gurudwara, Sector-7 Panchkula, market and temple Sector-9, Sector-10, Sriram Mandir Sector-2, Mini Secretariat and lakshmi Naraian Mandir, Sector-6, Panchkula and would pass through Sinh Dwar before culminating at Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple.
