Cong to release its election manifesto on Oct 1
Chandigarh:The Congress has decided to release its election manifesto on October 1 for state assembly polls in Haryana. “The manifesto would be released in Chandigarh on October 1 and all the party candidates for 90 constituencies would also be present on this occasion”, said Ran Singh Mann, party spokesperson. Congress released its list of candidates on September 24. Earlier it was being assessed that the party would release its both list of candidates and manifesto at the same time, but later on, the plan was changed due to ongoing inner party rift over ticket distribution. The state party president Ashok Tanwar, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and party general secretary and Haryana election in charge Shakeel Ahmad would be present on this occasion.

Chandigarh: The Election Commission has stated that if any mistake is found in the nomination form or affidavit furnished by a candidate for the ensuing Assembly polls, and he or she removes the error before 3 pm on September 29, his or her nomination should not be cancelled. SK Mahndiratta, legal Advisor, Election Commission of India (ECI), through video-conference on various aspects of the nomination process for the assembly elections gave this advice. The nomination papers of any candidate should be properly examined before cancellation, and, if any doubt remains concerning the nomination, the benefit of doubt could be given to the candidate, he added.
