CA Delegation meets new income tax chief
Chandigarh: A delegation of ICAI (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) led by CA Krishan Joshi, Chairman, ICAI, Chandigarh Chapter met Promila Bhardwaj, IRS who has joined as the new Chief Commissioner of Income tax (North West Region ) at Chandigarh. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Commissioner said that she expects whole hearted participation from the CAs for encouraging their clients to deposit the taxes fairly and contribute in the growth of the country. on behalf of the CA fraternity that the professionals have always played their role as partners in Nation Building, by ensuring complete & timely compliance of the Income tax law by business & industry. He also said that the CA’s would continue to assist in increasing the revenue collection & also the tax base, by doing proper tax planning for their clients & guiding them.
Mohali Chess Championship 2013 on November 16,17
Chandigarh: Chess Specific, Mohali would be organising a two-day Mohali District Chess Championship 2013 under the aegis of Punjab State Chess Association for Under-7, 11, 15, 19 and Senior Category (Male & Female) at Gurukul World School, Sector 69, Mohali on November 16 and 17. The last date of registration is November 12 whereas with the late fees is November 14. Interested players can enrol online at www.chessspecific.in. According to Nitin, Tournament Director, “All the five rounds in each category would be played under FIDE laws and the Swiss system. The top 10 positions in the senior category will represent Mohali in upcoming Punjab B State Chess Championship 2013 on Nov 29 to Dec 1, 2013 at Moga, Punjab.”
